The Easiest Vegan Shopping List Ever

leggFood Leave a Comment

rabbit-shoppingNavigating the supermarket as a new vegan can be intimidating, to say the least. So many familiar items, taunting you with their animal ingredients! It takes time before you’ll be speed-shopping the produce aisle and reading labels like a ninja.

To help make your life a lot easier as you embark on a plant-based path, we’ve put together a simple vegan shopping list. It incorporates a lot of ingredients you’ll find in recipes (including those on TryVeg.com!). If you can’t find some of these items at your local store, ASK. Sometimes they’re tucked away in odd aisles. If what you’re looking for isn’t in stock, most grocers are happy to order products for you.

Some of this stuff (like the spices and grains) you might already have on hand, so check your cabinets! For the substitute products, we’ve included several options in each category, so you can pick and choose your favorites. Remember, this is just a place to start.

Feel free to add to this vegan shopping list, expand the categories, and take notes of your fave items for future reference!
