Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and there’s no better way to show someone you care than to make them something from the heart that they can eat. Let’s spread the love with recipes for delicious and decadent dairy-free sweets. All of the recipes featured are full of rich chocolate flavors, and they’re 100% vegan.
Rich and Tart Chocolate Candies
These Strawberry Creme Gems are pretty much the perfect candies. They have a dark chocolate shell and a fruity coconut filling that makes a perfect balance of flavors that are both tart and rich. Plus, the recipe is made with only five ingredients. Let’s make some magic!
Looking for vegan chocolate chips? These are some of my favorite, easy to find brands: Nestle Toll House Simply Delicious Semi-Sweet Baking Chips, Enjoy Life Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mini Chips, and Pascha Organic Vegan Chocolate Chips.
Decadent Dairy-Free Donuts
Any occasion is the perfect occasion for donuts. That’s why I updated my simple baked donuts recipe to create these Double Chocolate Strawberry Donuts. The best part is you don’t need any eggs, milk, or butter to create these amazing fudgy flavors and textures. All you need is boxed a vegan-friendly brownie mix, apple sauce, and soda water, plus melted chocolate chips and crushed freeze-dried strawberries for a snappy coating that you’ll love.
Freeze-dried strawberries are a great way to enjoy fruity berry flavors in lots of recipes when fresh berries are out of season. These are some of the varieties that I enjoy: Gold Emblem Abound Strawberry Crisps, Gold Emblem Freeze-Dried Dark Chocolate Strawberries, and So Natural Freeze Dried Strawberries.
Pretty Little Parfaits
It’s time for the final recipe and I’ve five words for you: Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cheesecake Parfait. It may be a mouthful to say, but each spoonful of this parfait is better than the last. I’m pulling out all the stops for this recipe, vegan whipped cream, vegan cream cheese, melted dairy-free dark chocolate, and two kinds of strawberries, Plus this recipe gets bonus points because it requires absolutely no baking. Let’s whip it up!
Spread Love and Choose Compassion
So there you have it, three chocolatey vegan desserts that you can make to sweeten up your Valentine’s Day. Best of all, you don’t need to visit specialty stores to get the ingredients you need to make these treats at home. Don’t you just love that it’s more convenient than ever to make compassionate food choices, and you don’t have to pick between indulging in the flavors that you love and making a positive impact? I know I do!
Just in case you don’ t have time to make your own decadent dairy-free desserts, here are a few vegan choclatiers with treats you’ll love to share:
