Dairy-Free Hot Chocolate

  • ½ cup masa harina
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups dairy-free milk
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 disk of Abuelita chocolate
  • Cinnamon to taste


  • Add masa to sauce pot; whisk in 2 cups cold water until smooth.
  • Turn on heat to medium high and bring mixture to boil. Add dairy-free milk, sugar, and chocolate to pot.
  • Whisk constantly until chocolate and sugar are dissolved and mixture is hot.
  • Remove from heat and divide evenly among mugs. Sprinkle with cinnamon
